Hazardous Tree Assessment & Removal

What we mean by “Hazard Tree”

A hazard tree is any tree with an elevated risk of failure that could impact people, structures, access routes, or critical infrastructure. We assess risk, confirm scope, and remove trees using a safety-first approach—especially on steep terrain and near homes.

Common hazard tree issues:

  • Dead or dying trees / beetle kill

  • Leaning stems, cracked trunks, or failed root plates

  • Large dead limbs over roofs, decks, or driveways

  • Storm-damaged or fire-damaged trees

  • Trees too close to structures or access roads for safe clearance

What’s included:

  • Site visit and clear written scope

  • Hazard evaluation (what’s urgent, what can wait)

  • Safe removal with protection of surrounding trees and structures

  • Cleanup and debris handling options (haul away or chip)

  • Optional: follow-up recommendations for thinning and defensible space

Our process

1) Assess + scope — Identify hazards and confirm access, rigging needs, and safety plan.
2) Schedule — Coordinate timing and site logistics.
3) Remove safely — Controlled felling or sectional removal as needed.
4) Clean site — Debris handling and final walkthrough.

Al and Noah with Circle Forestry and Tree Care took down three very large trees that were close to my house and some large branches from other trees that hung over my house. Al gave me valuable advice for fire mitigation, too. They were wonderful to work with and also to watch as they carefully and precisely climbed up trees and took them down piece by piece without disturbing my gardens or my house. I am grateful and highly recommend Circle Forestry and Tree Care.
